Jason Turbin, aka Cadence Kid, is quite the musical prodigy. He began his journey in music when he landed the role of Gavroche in the national touring company of Les Miserables. He became a music teacher since then, and can play ten instruments. All this led to his one-man band, Cadence Kid.
I was rather flabbergasted when I found that his newest single, “Hold On Me” was done by just one guy. This song is a perfectly laid-back jam for a hazy afternoon. The sound is reminiscent of early Peter Bjorn & John, and takes a more guitar based sound than his two previous releases. This masterpiece has become my personal earworm for the past few weeks. We hope you like it too!
