One of the biggest rushes of adrenaline as a indie music blogger happens when you discover the perfect indie tune. To me that means it’s a song that is both innovative and radio ready, both intriguing and ear-pleasing, both rebellious and catchy – and when you hear it you just can’t believe your ears. That moment for me this week came courtesy of The Zolas and their new tune “Molotov Girls.”
A few years ago this Vancouver based band impressed me with “Invisible,” but this new one is a whole new level. It has all the spark and flame that it’s title suggests, as it’s raring synths, heavy beat and rebellious vocals heat up any room it’s red-hot sound waves are played into. Enjoy The Zolas!
